The stunning Fall House by Fougeron Architecture, perched atop a cliff-side on California’s Big Sur, a 250-foot drop to the Pacific Ocean, combines modern design and sustainability with vertigo-inducing views. Built with the protection of it’s surrounding landscape in mind, two long, rectangular boxes separate the bedrooms and bathrooms from the living and eating areas, both sections flooded with light. The eco-friendly project uses natural materials including French limestone flooring and sustainable timber, solar control glazing, low-energy air systems, a vegetated roof and an on-site wastewater treatment. Green credentials indeed. Take a tour of this incredible home in the gallery.
