Published by the always informative Spitalfields Life, we take a look inside new book Underground. A projectionist in a porn cinema in Soho, photographer Bob Mazzer, pretty much an unknown, captured life on London’s tube during the ’80s. Amorous couples, punks, sleeping commuters, stylish skinhead kids, not to mention the interiors of those old trains all but gone from the system, Mazzer comments “every day I travelled to King’s Cross and back. Coming home late at night, it was like a party and I felt like the tube was mine.” His work, only recently rediscovered, has been brought together in a 200 page hardback book, pre-order yours here and catch the images on display 12 Jun 2014 to 13 Jul 2014 at Howard Griffin Gallery. The book is available from Amazon.
