Google‘s very own Cultural Institute presents their latest initiative, the Street Art Project. Due to the temporary nature of street art, Google took it upon themselves to immortalize the work by storing images in a database searchable by artist and location. Pictures of work are found via their Street View cameras, as well as through submissions from artists and cultural institutions. Regarding the project’s mission, Google Cultural Institute’s director Amit Sood says the goal is to turn the world into “one huge open-air gallery for everyone to enjoy.” Try it out for yourself here.
