Adding to the ever-growing lot of new headquarters in the start-up scene, Yelp unveils their new home in a high-rise in San Francisco’s financial district. Design firm Studio O+A wanted to maintain a sense of community in their vertically stacked office and so created various destination points on each floor that would draw staff away from only their work level. The eighth floor houses a fully equipped coffee shop, the fifth has a break room with window seating, and the 11th has semi-private pods for chess or chatting. A reception area on the centrally located ninth floor features a “general store” where guests can wait in the lobby area and help themselves to candy.
