As they’ve done every year since 1993, motor racing enthusiasts from all over the world flocked to West Sussex, England to catch the latest installment of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Founded by Lord March in an effort to bring motor racing back to the Goodwood estate, the heir apparent has hosted the festival on his own grounds for over 20 years, with this season’s festival celebrating Mercedes-Benz’s 120 years in motorsport. Among this year’s participants, legends like Sir Stirling Moss, Jochen Mass and Karl Wendlinger hopped in historic Mercedes-Benz race cars, recreating iconic moments from the past. Before taking in the weekend’s events, visitors were greeted with a sculpture by renowned British artist Gerry Judah. Once inside, this year’s featured vehicles, the Mercedes-Benz W25 and Mercedes AMG W04, set the tone for what was yet another exciting hill climb.
