As with the brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection, music plays a heavy inspiration for the LUKER aesthetic, and many of these looks would not look out of place in a vintage music video. Shot with grainy, almost sepia-toned photography, the collection shows just how deftly Japanese brands can pay homage to other cultures, with their expert eye for detail and quality. Watch out for the collection when it hits retailers during the Fall/Winter 2014 season.
NEIGHBORHOOD sub-label LUKER pays homage to British style with a collection of garments inspired by the country’s historic mod, rudeboy and punk culture, dubbed “Too Much Too Young” after the song by iconic ska band The Specials. Everything from parkas and wool overcoats to desert boots and trilbies screams heritage British style, while the collection’s motto appears on football scarves.
