Tula House by Patkau Architects

Hanging over a rocky cliff face on Quadra Island in British Columbia, Canada, the Tula House was designed by local firm Patkau Architects. Contrasting with its surroundings, the design of the residence is sleek and modern, finished with floor to ceiling glass walls, and timber and concrete materials, while its moss-covered roof means the home blends in with the trees. Offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, skylights bring in natural light, and a small glass cutout in the cantilevering floor provides views down into the water.
