In light of recent events in Ferguson, Missouri, plenty of musicians have come out to voice their opinions on the matter, but perhaps not enough. Killer Mike penned an open letter in response to the killing of the St. Louis teenager. Frank Ocean took to Tumblr to post his opinion on the event, while Questlove, Big Boi, John Legend and plenty more took to Twitter to express themselves. Not one to shy away from political discourse, Lauryn Hill has just shared a song, “Black Rage,” which is an interpretation of The Sound of Music‘s “My Favorite Things.” Although Hill has performed the track live previously, she recorded the rough sketch in her living room, and released it last night via Twitter dedicated to the situation in Ferguson.
