Lincoln Motor Company is embarking on a new journey, and they’re taking Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey along for the ride. In 2012, the automobile makers introduced four new products as part of a larger brand re-launch. This year, they’re continuing to press forward with the recent announcement of a multi-year collaboration with McConaughey, who Lincoln’s global director Matt VanDyke believes is a perfect reflection of the company’s authentic values.

McConaughey will undertake the task of being chief storyteller in a series of TV and digital campaigns that will kick-off with the first-ever 2015 Lincoln MKC premium utility vehicle. As the very first small vehicle from the brand, Lincoln wanted the MKC to be a study in captivating design, personal service and quality.

Campaign director Nicolas Winding Refn has already created a tailored storyline around McConaughey’s experience with the MKC, which the actor recently took for an unscripted test drive around Texas. Watch below.
