During the month of August, artists Kamea Hadar and Defer took their artistic talents to the city of San Francisco to paint murals and show a selection of their new series “Paradise Lost.” Their collaborative canvas pieces are on display at 1st Amendment Gallery through this August 29. The duo collaborated on two murals during their stay in San Francisco, one entitled Hawaii 13 is located in downtown San Francisco near the corner of Kearny and Bush Streets. That particular mural saw the artists incorporate hues of red, yellow and gold offset by a black backdrop. Full of energy and intricate line-work, the murals incorporate ancient Hawaiian mythology alongside West Coast sensibilities. Keep an eye out for more murals, gallery shows and artistic projects from the “Paradise Lost” series in Los Angeles, Miami, Guam, Israel and Hawaii.
