Our Sneaker Rotation series continues with graphic designer and artist BJ Betts. With tattooing as his medium, his style utilizes elements from gothic imagery and Japanese folklore with an emphasis on perfecting fonts and unique lettering. A lifelong sneaker devotee with more than 1,000 pairs and counting, BJ’s a member of the beloved Crooked Tongues crew. Starting with the top left, the artist kicks things off with his signature Crooked Tongues x Solebox x New Balance 1500 “Cuban Bee,” followed by an OG iteration of the Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared,” and a classic Air Max 93. Rounding out the rotation are the Air Jordan 3 “Black/Cement,” Nike Air Tuned Max 1999 and New Balance 585.
