Founded by husband and wife team, Manabu and Keiko Okada, Southern Field Industries follow a well-trodden path with their old-school canvas accessories. However, while there’s no lack of options when it comes to this type of simple carrier, the Japanese brand elevate themselves above their peers with their incredible quality and down-to-the-detail workmanship. For Spring/Summer 2015 they put together a familiar selection, their core styles, the backpack and tote, reworked in several varieties. Larger capacities, added top handles, roll-down closures, multiple pockets and contrast wax and cotton twill panels add interest to their cool and calm collection offering ongoing styles alongside more complex new additions.

As usual, each piece is made by hand in their Saitama factory, fine details from polished brass rivets and vegetable tanned hides to hand-painted edges and neat leather washers a reminder that Southern Field Industries mean business. Keep an eye on the website for Spring/Summer drops.
