J.Crew has a knack for timely collaborations, so it came as little surprise that they honed in on one of our favorites — Alden Shoe Company — for a two-capsule offering. Alden, which was founded in Massachusetts in 1884, has developed a reputation for delivering old-world quality in au courant designs. For the J.Crew collaboration, the company designed a Tassel Loafer and a Dover Oxford silhouette. The former is crafted from brown alpine grain leather while the latter is made with Horween Chromexcel, which J.Crew describes as, “as good as it gets.” Both are made in the USA and are equipped with Goodyear welts, making them easily re-soled for years to come.
The shoes aren’t available yet, but you can pre-order them online if the waiting game isn’t your thing.
