The BNY Sole Series, a project developed by luxury department store Barneys, has thus far encompassed collaborative footwear releases with Vans, Filling Pieces, adidas and Diadora, to name a few. For its seventh edition, the retailer has teamed up with Brooks to construct a vintage-inspired sneaker based on the footwear brand’s Chariot style from 1982.

Retaining the same elements that saw it become one of the most heralded running silhouettes of all time – including reflective details on the tongue and toes, as well as EVA foam soles – a supple leather and suede construction lavishly brings the shoe up to date. Inspired by vintage varsity jackets, the low-top sneakers are available in two colorways: black and burgundy.
