In hopes of reviving the turntable system, Technics is gearing up to release a special limited edition model of its Grand Class SL-1200GAE. The direct-drive turntable invented by Technics is still highly acclaimed by DJs to this day, as the company looks to redefine the device.
The 50th anniversary limed edition turntable boasts an all-new design, showcasing a heavy aluminum top plate, brass-top turntable platter and insulator. Further details include a twin-rotor surface-facing direct-drive motor, direct-drive motor controller and high sensitive tonearm. Turntable speeds of 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm and 78 rpm are all noted.
You can look forward to the new and improved Grand Class SL-1200GAE to arrive this summer.
