Lee preps to launch its new Lee 101 range in a move that slides effortlessly into the current trend of pared-down aesthetics, and yet one that feels somehow timeless and true to the label’s honest workwear roots.

Japanese selvedge and a host of other premium fabrics have been crafted and cut into smart, clean fits, with all unnecessary features and branding removed. The result is a crisp future-focused look.

Key pieces include Lee 101's all-over "Buildings" print, which uses a tessellating outline of the original Lee HQ building in Kansas City on a chambray button shirt. Meanwhile, the overall color palette is dusty and bleached, characterized by worn-in washes, slight distress and subtle repair patches on bottoms, shirts and jackets. Tops and tees are highly wearable, with a contemporary masculine cut and boxy fit.

The storied American denim label asked Highsnobiety to personally handpick pieces for the collection, which you can now view over at uk.lee.com/highsnobiety after peeping the lookbook shots, above.
