UK-based artist Chris Labrooy is back with a further exploration of automotive elastic works, taking on a new series inspired by Japan’s capital city and Kisho Kurokawa’s Nakagin landmark Capsule Tower.

Drawing on Japan's love for all things mechanic, Labrooy has digitally distorted a Honda NSX,  Datsun 240Z, Datsun skyline GT-R and a Toyota AE86 into twisted and sliced formations, against an empty urban backdrop.

In keeping with Japanese influences, the artist also features two iconic animated characters, Sonic the Hedgehog and Pikachu, in the stretched out yellow Toyota.
