Comfy is a word often applied to UGG, but maybe not versatility. But in a sign of the brand’s continuing dedication to keeping your feet squarely in the comfort zone, no matter what you’re wearing or where you’re going, UGG debuts its new Treadlite outsole technology on a small collection of versatile shoes.

Terence J road-tested out the new tech, showcasing three looks – from smart to casual – all anchored by UGG’s new Hepner Woven shoe. The Hepner Woven utilizes a Treadlite sole unit underneath a woven fabric and leather upper and works whether you’re going for the smart or the more casual vibes.

According to UGG, Treadlite is 16% more durable than comparable EVA sole units, offers 20% better traction on the wet and dry, and lasts 25% longer – so it can be worn pretty much all day without wearing your feet in.

Debuting on a small collection of shoes, you can also try out Treadlite on UGG’s Freamon Capra and the Hullman.
