If you are living in the city, but have always wanted to grow your own vegetables and herbs, then Swedish furniture giant IKEA might actually have the solution for you. They just announced their new KRYDDA/VÄXER hydroponic garden, which allows you to grow fresh produce right at home, all year-around. You can grow plants without any soil, but rather using the absorbent foam plugs that come with the system. The foam keeps them moist, without ever over-watering. When ready you can transfer them into their own pots and then put the pots into a growing tray, which comes equipped with a solar lamp. The IKEA indoor gardening set is supposed to launch in April.

In other IKEA news, it turns out Kanye West might be working with them in the future.
