Belgian watchmakers, Komono, recently dropped a collection with the estate of the late surrealist artist René Magritte, and to celebrate the collaboration, the two brands hosted an event at the Magritte Museum in Brussels.

The Komono x Magritte collection exemplifies the common ground between the brand and the artist. Both are dreamers as well as designers, both experiment with pushing boundaries. This story was woven into the museum, and guests were given a guided tour; the Magritte artwork used in the watch collection interpreted by the tour guide.

Komono told the story of one of Belgium’s most famous artists, as well as their own, hoping to remind people of his groundbreaking vision. Both have roots in Belgium and the event successfully celebrated the countries creative talents.

Speaking of experimental, another of Komono’s fresh summer ranges features cork and camo prints.
