Eastpak is making urban lifestyle requirements the focus of their Fall/Winter 2016 collection and where better to test their integrity than the Big Apple. Followed by the New York sun, Eastpak explored the heart of Manhattan, from West Village to SoHo.
Balancing vibrant patterns and tones with basic color blocking and seasonal hues, the collection caters to varying city lifestyles. While Eastpak backpack's distinct shape remains, the brand has delved into their archive on highly functional, military-inspired pieces too, honoring the label's roots.
Eastern Canvas Product, Inc., which became Eastpak during the ’70s, was originally contracted by The Pentagon to produce duffels and packs for the U.S. Army. Following a ’70s rebrand, the label arrived on college campuses and then in cities, eventually emerging as the lifestyle brand recognized today. Wood Wood, Raf Simons, A.P.C. and House of Hackney, amongst others, have collaborated with the brand since, confirming their fashion credentials.
