Just one day before he returns to the big screen as Jason Bourne — in Jason Bourne — here we get yet another look at Matt Damon, as he is set to star in Zhang Yimou's The Great Wall. Acting as Yimou's first-ever English-language production, and the largest film ever shot entirely in China, the movie details the "true story" behind why the world's most iconic structure was built in the first place.

Set 1,000 years in the past, The Great Wall tells the tale of an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the massive monument, designed to keep anything and everything from reaching the other side.

Alongside Damon, the flick stars Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, Hanyu Zhang, Eddie Peng, Lu Han, Kenny Lin, Junkai Wang, Zheng Kai, Cheney Chen, Xuan Huang and Andy Lau.

Look for The Great Wall to land in theaters — in 3D — on February 17, 2017.
