While black pepper is most often cited as an ingredient in cooking lists, COMME des GARÇONS took it upon themselves to use the pepper for new fragrance inspiration. Remaining true to COMME des GARÇONS form, the fragrance is devoid of profiling – meaning it can be used by either genders. Consisting of five primary ingredients in black pepper, tonka bean, leather, cedar wood and Akigalawood, the scent penetrates deep into the skin and evolves as it is worn.

The fragrance will additionally be introduced with great fanfare, as artist Faye Toogood was commissioned to create an exhibit introducing the fragrance at London’s Selfridges. The striking artwork will feature five monoliths, each one representing one of the five ingredients for the fragrance. It’s totally up to the viewer’s interpretation to determine which structure represents which ingredient, but all in all it just adds to the fun of artistic interpretation.

The new fragrance can now be purchased at Selfridges in the UK, and should be arriving at stateside COMME des GARÇONS retailers soon.
