When it comes to inspiration, most brands take to singular concepts, but in Art Comes First‘S new FW16 collection, designers Sam and Shaka took it one step further by drawing upon all of the people, things and places that provide intrigue in everyday life. The collection also shares a level of personal involvement, as the range has been touted as a dedication to Sam’s recently-deceased father and Shaka’s uncle.

As the collection features a pervasive theme of black and darkness throughout, pieces in the range offer a subtle and classy feel. Classic fall-ready silhouettes such as pea coats, bombers, and the other outerwear staples make an appearance alongside the interesting inclusion of a few bowling hats, again adding to the intrigue of the collection.

Launching alongside the collection will be a Harris Tweed collaboration, made exclusively for Dover Street Market.
