German sneaker boutique Solebox has announced delving into Reebok’s archives to update the iconic Reebok Classic Club C 85 tennis silhouette.
The Solebox x Reebok Classic Club C 85 upper is constructed from overlapping pieces of leather, imitating the look of the grip tape wrapped around a tennis racket's handle. The sneaker's turquoise hue is also reminiscent of the green tape used during the ‘80s; red stitching on the midsole offers a clear color contrast and Solebox lettering on the rear collar features in Reebok’s recognizable typography.
Solebox and Reebok have also left their signatures on a strap back New Era cap available exclusively at Solebox. The sneakers pre-release online and at Solebox stores in Berlin, Munich and Vienna November 11; a general release at Reebok Certified Network stores will follow November 18.
