Mr. Robot's Rami Malek has been tapped to play the late Freddie Mercury in Bryan Singer's Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.
While Singer will take care of the directing duties, Graham King of GK Films — who has been developing the Queen project for almost a decade — will act as producer, and 20th Century Fox and New Regency will co-finance the picture. The script, written by Anthony McCarten, has already been approved by original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. May and Taylor will also be brought on as music producers.
Previously it had been reported that Sacha Baron Cohe was likely to play the lead in Bohemian Rhapsody, but that obviously fell through.
Regardless, check back with us for more on the forthcoming Queen biopic.
