Wavy Women highlights various industry professionals currently leading the game with their brazen creativity and forward-thinking style.

In the eyes of the world, grime is undergoing a renaissance. Yet for some Londoners, the Big Smoke's soundtrack never really went away – for one of them at least, their career has centered on documenting, and maybe even shaping, the underground scene's evolution.

That person is Vicky Grout, the London photographer whose unassuming, down-to-earth attitude belies the sheer creative weight of her portfolio. Spanning key names across genres and across the Atlantic, the likes of Frisco, Little Simz, Stormzy, A$AP Ferg, Skepta, Vic Mensa, Trim, Sian Anderson, Riko Dan, Fekky, Goldlink, Father, Ashley Walters, and Monki have all been snapped by her.

However, for our latest round of Wavy Women, helping celebrate 30 years of ASICS and the release of the heritage Japanese sportswear label's new GEL-Lyte V monochrome tonal leather pack, this time we managed to get Grout in front of the lens. Appearing in the new kicks from ASICS, Grout also styled the shoot in key pieces from fellow streetwear staples including The North Face, Patta, and Carhartt, all shot by Isaac J Cambridge. Scroll up for Vicky's style, scroll down for her answers to our Qs, or jump through to her IG.

What was the thing that first got you interested in photography and style?

I must have been about 13 when I came across Viktor Vauthier's work, this made me really want to shoot on film. From then on I would take my film camera everywhere with me, to gigs, events, taking candids of my friends, wherever...

What's your most treasured item of clothing?

At the moment probably this off-white Champion crewneck I got from my boyfriend for my birthday.

What brands are you into at the moment?

To be honest I wear a lot of the same brands I've been wearing over the past few years. Things like Patta, Supreme, Palace, Carhartt WIP, TNF, Grind London, and Uni Qlo and Champion for my basics!

What was the last piece you bought and why?

It was a black sherpa jacket from Carhartt WIP, it's a bit different to anything else from their Women's range I've seen for a while and I love a good sherpa.
