The latest in our Meet the Muse series is artist and Instagram starlet Kiri-Una Brito Meumann. For someone that’s fresh out of high school, the Melbourne creative already has an impressive string of clients including none other than A$AP Rocky, who hangs some of her artwork in his New York apartment.
Here we captured Meumann in a wide range of brands including Raf Simons x Sterling Ruby, Raf Simons x adidas, Vetements, Marques Almeida and Saint Laurent.
Take a look at the interview below and see a recent profile with the Angel + Dren twins.
What was the thing that first got you interested in fashion?
Hmm…this goes far back, I think I became super interested with the rise of fashion blogs between 2007 and 2009.
How has your style changed over the years?
I’ve matured and so has my taste. I buy less “cool” stuff and focus on buying things I think I’ll wear forever or buy something from a show that I think was incredible.
Describe your current style.
I like to be able to dress completely different from one day to another. But I think at the end of the day my core style is pants and a T-shirt and comfortable shoes (sneakers mostly) and a nice bag.
What is the thing that gets you out of bed each morning?
My alarm and the things I need to do for that day.
If you weren’t in your current city, where would you live? (also why?)
Probably New York. I just think it’s the city that best suits me at this stage in my life.
Describe your perfect day.
Honestly everyday is good when you get something done. Productive days are the best, you feel the most fulfilled.
How do you relax?
Listening to some Brazilian Bossa nova, or jazz at home.
What is the quality you value most in friendship?
Someone who is genuine; no fake shit.
What is your most treasured item of clothing? (also why?)
Probably my Rei Kawakubo x Louis Vuitton bag. I love Rei Kawakubo and the bag is just ridiculous.
What could you eat every day and not get tired of?
Acreage (Brazilian food).
Where do you want to be in the next five years?
Happy and killing it 😉
