Last year saw Blood Orange release his third album proper, Freetown Sound. A few months later, he performed material from the record at his first-ever performance for Boiler Room, one that took place at the organization's inaugural Weekender festival. Now, for the first time ever, footage of his full 40-minute performance has been released. Watch it above.
Blood Orange has developed a reputation as one of the most multifaceted artists of his generation, and in this show he does not disappoint. The performance begins with him on stage with an amplified cello, before he goes on to add a piano and two backup dancers into the mix. In addition to new material, the setlist includes work from his first two albums, Coastal Grooves and Cupid Deluxe.
