Highsnobiety

The music world rejoiced shortly after New Year's of 2016 with the oft-suspected (but still miraculous) news that LCD Soundsystem would be reuniting not only for a tour but for a brand new album. A year has come and gone since this news, and the iconic band has completed a massive festival tour circuit of their old hits without a whiff of new music. Now, in typical surprise fashion, bandleader James Murphy has shared a much-needed update regarding the highly-anticipated reunion album.

Always the consummate master of being casual, Murphy didn't even make these announcements as a proper post on the band's Facebook. Instead, the first bits of new information regarding the upcoming album were made as replies to the comments of understandably passionate fans who are now thirsty as hell. And since "winter tends to mess" with Murphy's voice, it feels like we still have a couple more months of waiting ahead of us.

Revisit the video for LCD Soundsystem's "Daft Punk Is Playing at My House" below.

In other music news, Young Thug has shared a video for his JEFFERY single "Wyclef Jean" that is, no exaggeration, an exemplary piece of post-modern art. Watch it right here.
