From the ground up

adidas EQT built a torrent of momentum last year thanks to a string of new releases, and in 2017 the drive isn’t stopping. To kick start the year, Foot Locker is exclusively releasing brand new colorways of the updated silhouette, and we’ve got all the details.

adidas simultaneously looked to the past and into the future when reinventing the iconic EQT. In this way, the brand reinterpreted the classic sneaker for the modern era but maintained the retro look and old school appeal. The reintroduction of adidas Equipment marks a return to functionality and essentialism and a rejection of excess and gimmickry. EQT represents a purposeful design philosophy; the footwear and clothing range features only essential core components, each with a specific function.

The new EQT Support ADV has a slimmer and more lightweight construction than the original from 1991 and is reinforced with extended lace straps supporting the joint mid-foot and heel cage. The new green model consists of a cargo green knit upper with black lace straps and a translucent black heel cage. The upper sits atop a white outsole with a turbo red heel beneath; the turbo red is repeated in the contrast stitching and EQT ADV 91-16 tongue and insole logos.

The green versions gray counterpart trades cargo green for a digital gray camouflage knit, gray lace straps and translucent gray heel cage. It features the same white outsole and turbo red logo detailing.

The sneakers are available to buy now in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and Italy.
