Fighting President Donald Trump's unconstitutional immigration ban directed toward predominantly Muslim countries is an immersive effort, and musicians have been using their platforms to do their fair share. For example, Sia and Grimes launched campaigns to match fan donations to organizations dedicated to fighting the ban.
Now, electronic musician Four Tet has unveiled his own protest in the form of a playlist representing artists from each banned country. Tune in to it below.
Added to a running playlist of Four Tet (alias Kieran Hebden)'s favorites, the mix is now fronted by eight tracks from the seven countries on Trump's list: Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. His pick from Syria is from an album he produced with the cultural sensation Omar Souleyman titled Wenu Wenu, a highly successful and even more highly unexpected foray outside his solo career.
Aside from listening, you can play a part in challenging Trump's immigration ban by donating to organizations such as the ACLU or the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Watch the music video for the Four Tet-produced Omar Souleyman track "Warni Warni" below.
In other music news, Daft Punk have just been announced as one of the performer's at this year's Grammy Awards. See who else will be playing the show here.
