It's been a while since we last saw a Sofia Coppola movie on the big screen — four years, in fact — but now the Lost in Translation director marks her return with twisted love drama, The Beguiled.

The story is based on Thoms P. Cullinan's 1966 novel A Painted Devil and is set during the Civil War. An injured Union soldier winds up imprisoned in a Confederate girls' boarding school and ends up wooing his way into each of the lonely women's hearts. Of course, this being Hollywood, doing so has dire consequences, and it isn't long before the women turn on each other, and inevitably, him.

Judging by the cast, Coppola is going all-out to mark her return in style, with Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning all starring.

The Beguiled hits theaters on June 23. Be sure to stay posted for further trailers.
