From visionary director Bong Joon-ho (Memories of Murder, The Host, Snowpiercer) comes Okja, a new film that follows a global adventure and friendship between a young girl named Mija and her best friend - a massive animal named Okja.
Risking everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend, the new movie follows Mija across continents, the coming-of-age comedy drama sees her horizons expand in a way one never would want for one’s children, coming up against the harsh realities of genetically modified food experimentation, globalization, eco-terrorism, and humanity’s obsession with image, brand and self-promotion.
Okja will be available only on Netflix beginning June 28.
Another fantastic flick from Netflix is Imperial Dreams which began streaming earlier this month; you can watch the trailer below.
