The red band trailer for upcoming sci-fi flick Life is finally here, and it reveals a violent, cruel and very fucked up kind of new alien.

Previous trailers, all of which you can see below, have focused on building suspense and tension without giving too much away. In this one, however, we get our best look at the creature yet and a number of other violent scenes.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Rees, Life tells the story of a six-member crew on the International Space Station that is just about to make one of the most important discoveries in the history of mankind: the first evidence of life on Mars.

The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Ferguson, Olga Dihovichnaya, Ariyon Bakare and Hiroyuki Sanada, and is set to hit theaters on May 26. Watch the new trailer above and the previous ones below.
