A new trailer for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets just droppeda whole five months since we were given our first sneak peek.

At the beginning of the trailer we see agents Laureline and the titular Valerian, played by Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan, narrowly escape an rabid alien and generally kick some space ass.

As it progresses, we find out their new mission — to save the city of Alpha whose peace is being threatened by an unknown force. The catch? They have less than 10 hours to “find the threat and eliminate it.”

Obviously some serious action ensues. During it all, we also get a quick glimpse of Rihanna playing what look like a burlesque dancer — fresh off her role in Bates Motel.

Based on the comic book of the same name, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is directed by Luc Besson, best known for his cult films, The Professional and The Fifth Element.

The film is reported to have costed $180 million and from the amount of special effects we can see in this short clip — it seems like it was well spent.

Watch the newest trailer for the film above, catch up with the previous release below, and look out for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets in theaters from July 21.
