While the New York International Auto Show is currently ongoing, Auto Shanghai 2017 is scheduled to kick-off soon (April 21 – 28), as we’re expected to see more innovative and futuristic vehicles from many automakers worldwide.

Germany’s Volkswagen in particular is developing a new fleet of electric vehicles that will start full production in 2020. Entitled, “I.D. CROZZ,” the model is noted as the first electrically powered crossover utility vehicle (CUV) — a four-door coupe and sport utility vehicle (SUV) in one. This variation is actually its third, which follows up on the previous edition back in Paris in 2016 and I.D. BUZZ in Detroit 2017.

With its design based on a Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB), the sporty vehicle essentially emits zero emissions, with an impressive electric all-wheel drive feature. Boasting 302 horsepower, a top speed of 112 mph and can cover up to 311 miles (NEDC) on one battery charge, the vehicle’s high-performance battery can also be charged at an astonishing 80 percent within 30 minutes only.
