Mr Porter

Billy Davis is among the more peculiar finds the Highsnobiety Music team has come across. Despite what their name may suggest, they are not the work of a single person but rather an ensemble that features up to 11 members. Hailing from Melbourne, they have been called "Australia's answer to Kaytranada and Anderson .Paak," producing a funkadelic hybrid of soul and hip-hop that is wholly of the here and now. It seems a lofty claim to make, but a single listen of their new single "Ball & Chain"---making its world premiere here---should dispel any notion of exaggeration. Stream it below via SoundCloud.
