Having been originally released in 1986, it is safe to assume that Netflix's most recent announcement to bring back Konami's lauded Castlevania video game series as an animated adaptation, will excite many a worldwide fan.

Already scheduled to run for a minimum of two, full seasons, the first will be released later this year, with the second installment reported to arrive at some point in 2018. Nothing short of action-packed, the original Castlevania series was popular amongst first-generation Nintendo gamers, with Netflix's adaptation promising to follow the original storyline of Simon Belmont's quest to save Eastern Europe from the dastardly clutch of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.
