Camp David, a mindfully designed shared workspace in Brooklyn’s rapidly growing Industry City — a 6 million square foot restored industrial complex, situated on the waterfront in Sunset Park, Brooklyn — is now open for membership.
With unrivaled views of the East River, lower Manhattan Skyline, and the Statue of Liberty — the new development was co-founded by entrepreneurs Mazdack Rassi and Erez Shternlicht, with designs by David M. Sullivan. By merging a modernist aesthetic with the building’s industrial architecture, the design of Camp David draws upon the iconic institutional work of the 1960’s and 1970’s — employing raw concrete, blackened steel, walnut, and Calacatta marble in contemporary fashion, as well as bespoke design elements such as lighting, walnut and steel task tables, among many others.
Spread across 40,000 square feet and three floors, Camp David is an expansive and carefully tailored space, with ample room to work quietly or collaborate with a team.
On the first floor, an open plan includes a concierge desk, two boardrooms, and custom-designed seating and work tables, as well as a coffee bar with a curated list of wines and spirits in the evening.
On the fifth floor, there are 48 acoustically sound private offices that accommodate up to 6 people, in addition to 4 conference rooms, 40 open-plan desks, and 5 lounge areas furnished. There is also a fully-equipped prep kitchen, appointed with marble countertops, polished concrete floors, Bertoia chairs, and Saarinen tables, where members have access to complimentary coffee and refrigerators to store personal items.
On the lower level is a maker space primed for process and prototyping, creating, editing, and documenting. This floor houses a professional studio for product photography, complete with lighting and seamless; a video editing suite with sound recording equipment; a tool wall, industrial sewing machines, hand-made work tables, and a mailroom. Additionally, a general store for office supplies will be opening in the location soon.
Camp David offers several monthly and yearly membership packages, all inclusive of basic business infrastructure such as wifi, printing, and a fully furnished workspace, as well as a customized list of services and amenities.
