Tune in and turn up

Marilyn Manson stopped by the studio earlier today for an exclusive interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio.

Having announced a new album titled Heaven Upside Down set to release on October 6, Manson revealed what it was like meeting Lil Uzi Vert for the first time, (who has expressed his adoration for Manson), as well as his perspective on this generation’s rappers.

“I’m at this hotel and I’m having dinner with Rick Ross, who said his dream is to work with me,” Manson explained. “He ghosted me a bit. But the same night, I hung out with Lil Uzi after we had talked. And we talked a lot. He ghosted me also. I don’t know if by the time this airs, he will have still ghosted me.”

“He said he wanted me to help him find older women,” Manson continued. “I said everyone is older than you because you just turned 22.”

In addition, Manson also spoke to Consequence of Sound, where he addressed a recent photo of him and Lil Uzi Vert that was circulating social media, and revealed plans on working with the rapper on his new album.

“He wants to do a rock album next, and I would love to see that happen because I think that he could make a new thing. Not some rock/rap type of thing, something special and new that I think needs to be created just to fuck the world up more. I think that if I had to pick what Lil Uzi Vert should be, if he’s involved in rock, it’s an early Bad Brains or Faith No More, but with a catchier element. I think he has punk rock in him. He’s a lil crazy motherfucker. And good. Smart as fuck. He has an attitude like I did, and I like that about him.”

Furthermore, Marilyn Manson also dropped the second single dubbed “WE KNOW WHERE YOU FUCKING LIVE” from his upcoming album which you can listen to below.
