Where the runway meets the street

Ralph Lauren is synonymous with New York style, especially in the ’90s, when a slew of crews around the city dedicated themselves to acquiring and rocking as much Polo as possible. Throughout the brand’s storied history, Ralph Lauren has established a reputation for redefining classic American style. At times it just reinterpreted the classics, taking items like cricket sweaters and embroidered knitwear but elevating it with a bear character or American flag.

But plenty of the label’s most sought-after vintage pieces pushed the envelope and toed the line between street-ready sportswear and high fashion. Take for example, any of the rare “Snow Beach” pieces or “P-Wing” gear that ‘Lo heads still thirst after to this day. Now, Fancy is partnering up with designer and vintage collector Ezra Wine to exhibit a selection of Polo pieces that are truly grail status.

Open at 224 Mulberry Street in SoHo, the exhibit will show off pieces like Polo bear sweaters, Cold Wave trousers and plenty of nautical-inspired gear. Take a look at the galleries above and below for a peek at what to expect inside the exhibit.

Now read about why Polo Ralph Lauren is the greatest streetwear brand of all time.
