Design
Where form meets function

The maniacs at German car tuner Brabus, the team responsible for monsters like this, are back with another high-octane revamp. They’ve transmogrified a Mercedes-AMG G65 into what it calls the most powerful off-roader the world has ever seen.

Rest assured, the murdered-out 900PS Brabus G65’s bite is worse than its bark, shelling out 900PS (887HP) and 1,500Nm (1,106lb-ft) of torque from a modified 6.3 liter V12. Sadly, whoever’s behind the wheel won’t get to enjoy the full 1,500Nm (1,106lb-ft) of torque, as it has been capped at 1,200 Nm (885lb-ft) for obvious safety reasons.

It might be big and bulky, but this beast can shift. The vehicle requires just 3.9 seconds for the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint — that’s 1.4 seconds faster than the original model.

Only 10 units of this SUV will be made, which is just as well because we can only imagine the damage this thing will do on the streets. Inside, opulent leather features have been added, along with all sorts of mod cons, including a center console featuring 4.3-inch touch panels, cup holders, and heating and cooling functions.

One of the Brabus 900s will go on display at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. Stay posted for more exclusive coverage from Highsnobiety.
