Founded in 2009, South Bronx United Soccer Club has grown quickly from a single team of just 18 boys into an organization that serves over 300 children between the ages of 4 and 19. Using soccer as a vehicle for social change, South Bronx United helps kids build leadership and teamwork teamwork. Sport is the bind that brings the community together, and fosters educational achievement, health, and character development.

Playing in the shadows of the Yankee Stadium each Saturday, teams in the South Bronx United Soccer Club bring organized match play to an inner city community that has previously been overlooked by United States Soccer. Our editorial shoot shares a day with coaches Christopher Schonberger and Emre Eczacibasi, and their team of under-14s.
