There's so much oppression in the world and for them The Changes is the opposite. It's about fun and freedom and that's at the same time the seriousness of it; having the freedom of not being forced. They want to break down genres and combine different worlds. That's also what you see in the exhibition looking at all the lightboxes; you're attracted to all images and you recognise icons and images, but they're mixed up and span around in a weird, fun, absurd way. They're scary and friendly at the same time and with the combinations of visuals an aesthetic is created that feels as if it should be exactly like this, as if these images belong together. There's a rawness in the images and screenprints, but the're sweet at the same time...
"There was a point when everything came together. It has taken a long time. Not that it is at any finished point - but it has been a long (good) journey so far. It's loose. There is no list to discuss between one another. As with most things, it is important that it happens naturally. A collage happening naturally is beautiful, an alignment of (small) cosmos. It occurs randomly, and this ethic goes on to become a rule for many other aspects of life. Awareness is looking. A search. Digging and finding; reaching walls of established ideas and platforms, and digging further. There are those humans that, when told to do something, or when told something is like this, they think "Is it like that?" They don't accept the way things are. The rules around us get validated if you keep living by them. They can be broken, and they should be broken. The same goes for symbols and aesthetics. Their inherent associations can be rewritten. If it looks good, it is good!"

"The Changes take interest in alternate realities and infinite possibilities. Opening windows to new thoughts, to new thinking, drawing from history and science-fiction, investigating and searching for places which are yet to exist. Escapism from day-to-day, places full of the realities of freedom, music, costume, strange customs and voodoo, magick, mushrooms, psychedelia and fantasy. New worlds which evoke the feelings of fun, and freedom, and smiles, and smirks, and an exciting uneasiness; these are amazing things to offer people."
