Foot Locker launches its third collection of the exclusive cooperation with Nike: “Magnificent 7” is a collaboration that introduces seven classical Nike styles every season, each revolving around a certain theme that is brought to life in various designs. The current “Beijing” collection is inspired by the Olympic Games and its most prominent venue, the “bird's nest” stadium in Beijing.  Once again the sneakers are available as a limited edition and exclusively sold at Foot Locker.

Atmos is keeping us really busy these days with the announcement of several high profile collaborations. We already presented you the Atmos x Penfield jackets, as well as the Atmos x DC Shoes DW1 and CM1 sneaker collaborations. Today comes already the next one, a collaboration with Helly Hansen.

Atmos worked with Helly Hansen on a series of jackets, as well as some t-shirts. The Saltrun, Bolder and Gotti jackets each come in two colorways. They are all light weight jackets with technical features, such as waterproof zippers. Branding is rather minimal on the jackets, but colors are bright.

The collection will be released at Atmos on September 13th.

Some of our favorite shoes out of the Vans Vault Fall 2008 collection were released today - the Cup LX Series. Part of the series of the Chukka Boot Cup LX and the Authentic Cup LX. Both come in light and dark brown. Not only did Vans give thepack high quality nubuck leathers for the uppers, they also added tartan check patterns on the lining and most importantly gave the series cup soles to increasecomfort and style.

The outcome is a rock solid pack by Vans, that can almost compete with the likes of Common Projects.

The Vans Vault Fall 2008 Cup LX Series is now available at Caliroots.

Resistance got together with Spring Court to work on two check sneakers for their Fall/Winter 2008 season. 

The Spring Court is a heritage tennis shoe with a vulcanized self cooling sole unit and four ventilation holes. The removable insole is peppermint scented to reduce odours and is machine washable.

This is a classic B2 design by Spring Court with Resistance Autumn/Winter 2008 tartan fabric uppers in grey and respectively red, gold eyelets and white laces.

The Resistance x Spring Court sneakers are now available at Oki-Ni.

We give you an early preview of t-shirts that In4mation created in collaboration with Stussy. The t-shirts will be coming in black and white, as part of a larger pack,which will be released in October 2008.

For the launch of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Japanese brand Kiks TYO got together with Obey on a series of collaborative t-shirts. Featuring Shepard Fairey's iconic and stylized Andre the Giant artwork meshed with KIKS TYO's sneaker based imagery, the OBEY KIKS propaganda tees are available for pre-order now in a range of three designs.

The Fall/Winter 2008 collection of Ubiq from Japan is in the process of being released. The first model to drop is the eL, which comes this time as part of the Satin Pack. 

The Ubiq Satin Pack consists of three eL's, each coming with a satin upper and a two color strap around the ankle.

Flauge will be releasing the pack on September 8th.

Due out September 16, "The Hour of Reprisal" is the latest album from La Coka Nostra's Ill Bill. Brother Necro features, as do LCN family Slaine and Everlast. The much publicized work with Raekwon appears too. Fatbeats has a sampler of the album up now. (via Prohiphop).

In the early evening on Sunday, September 7th, seven hand made boats, or more precisely, seven floating sculptures by Swoon, will dock in front of Deitch Studios on the East River in Long Island City. Their arrival at Deitch Studios will be the final stop on a three-week journey down the Hudson River and around the tip of Manhattan. The seven boats, built by Swoon and her friends from scrap wood and other discarded materials, begin their sail down the Hudson River on August 15th in Troy, New York, stopping along the way for musical and theatrical performances. Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea is a two-part exhibition merging Swoon’s recent portraits, found objects of urban decay and a floating sculptural city. One part of the exhibition is on the water. The other is in the gallery.

Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea is the result of a year of design and construction and the combined efforts of seventy- five collaborators, working under Swoon’s direction. A crew of forty people will sail the seven boats down the Hudson. During the summer of 2006, Swoon and the Miss Rockaway Armada launched a similar project on the Mississippi River. For this year’s project, Swoon designed and supervised the construction of all the boats herself and will culminate the journey with an ambitious exhibition of her large wooden and paper constructions and her large-scale prints."

The boats will remain in Long Island City until October 18th. During that time a number of performances will be held, and more information can be had at switchbacksea.org.

Recently we have previewed the Tonite Fall/Winter 2008 "Traveling" collection, as well as their new collaboration on sunglasses with Australia's Colab.

As part of the Fall/Winter 2008 collection they will also be releasing a cushion, featuring artwork by Tonite's creative director Fergadelic.
