highsnobiety - massive attack's meltdown
For nine days in June (starting the 14th) Bristol’s Massive Attack takes control of London’s South Bank. As directors of this years Meltdown Festival, they follow in the footsteps of David Bowie, Lee Perry and Morrissey. Every venue of the South Bank Centre will be utilized for film showings, concerts, dj sets and visual art displays.
Highlights include two sets by Massive Attack themselves and a gig from George Clinton. Also exciting is the show featuring MC5 and Primal Scream. The two groups will play alone and then combine on a collaborative set on June 24.
