Here we have once again one of those typical Junya Watanabe collaborations. They usually only collaborate with brands that are known for a specific thing, that have a tradition in this field and on your own you could never make it as good or as authentic as the other brand could. And if you really think about it, that’s also when collaborating really makes sense and adds a value to a piece of clothing. Thus you see Junya Watanabe collaborate with Lacoste on a polo shirt or with The North Face on an outdoor jacket. Always the same thought behind it – take a strong partner on board, because ourself we could not get to that level of perfection.
The same applies to this piece. They collaborated with Levi’s on a jeans-style shirt. You can mostly see that on the patch pocket that is applied to it. It’s simple, yet just perfect! Via Journal Inc.
