We come across a lot of clothing every day and a lot is send to us every day and usually we are not surprised, because in it’s either nothing new and most of the time just a twist on something old. Now when it comes to caps it gets even more boring, as there only seems to be New Era ruling the entire market. We like their caps, but sometimes its just nice to see some innovations. Eventhough Nike is very innovative, the best selling sneakers are the old ones, but innovation is still a good thing and should be more appreciated as incredible stuff comes out of it.
In this case we were pointed towards a new fashion brand from Japan, that takes its inspiration from the entire globe and sees itself as truly international – Fujizaki. The first and main product that they launched to date is a series of caps and not only is the design very new and unseen before, but the innovation in the cap is what is really striking. Fujizaki definitely invented part of a new cap.
The designer, Ryo Fujizaki, who considers himself more of an architect than a fashion designer has come up with a very special range of products. Using unorthodox materials such as fur, satan or velvet, Fujizaki has created a range of caps with thermo molded transparent visors in an array of colors, which can be molded to suit your face shape. The visors even offer UV400 grade sun protection.
That’s definitely new. Check out some of his first collection after the jump. The matching belts are also already designed and to be released soon! Thanks to Stu from LA for the tip.
