The good people from CLOT send over a copy of the Nike x CLOT Soleciety Book, which is derived from the exhibition “Soleciety”, that took place not long ago in Shanghai.
“It all came from the idea of having a chance to own a piece of history, where some of the most important sneaker influencers gathered together to show some of their most cherished pieces of work they have done.”
Exactly this has also been reflected in the book. The book contains interviews with all of these top Nike sneaker designers: Jeff Staple, Futura, Stash, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Eddie Cruz, Edison Chen. Each one of them answers the same questions about sneakers, the current market, their personal style and other topics. Following each interview is a gallery section of all the sneakers each individual has been involved in and/or designed.
The best quote from the book that we came across was definitely this one:
“Before there was ebay. Before there was a Power Seller. Before there was waiting in line for kicks. Before there was “Sneakerheads”. Before there was limited edition colorways. Before there was any of this madness… there was SPORTS. That’s right… the reason for the invention of something called SNEAKER, is because of something called SPORTS.”
The quote is followed by a complete gallery of all Nike Air Jordans. Definitely a nicely put together book. Interesting to read and to flip through all the pictures of some of the greatest sneakers of all time.
The packaging of the Book is also very nice. It has all a bit of a recycled feel, as if it was done to present the Considered Line. If you have the chance to grab one of these books, don’t miss it.
After the jump more pictures, for you to get an idea of this set.
